March for Babies 2010

Today is a very special day for our family, to say the least. It is a day for us to give back for the most special gift we have been blessed with, our son Ryan McClain Schwarz. Although I was powerless the day Ryan was born over 9 weeks early, the power that I felt during our rainy walk was incredible. The March of Dimes is full of $2,235 more hope because of you. We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Whitemarsh Township Day

My mom came down to visit and we took Ryan to a local festival that our township of Whitemarsh was hosting. Since yesterday was Penn State's annual Blue White scrimmage, Ryan wore his jersey with Penn State pride of course! He jumped around in a few different air bounces, rode a pony, saw some farm animals, and got to sit in a firetruck which was his favorite of all :)

Planes and Trains

This was the first of many future visits to the Strasburg Railroad in Lancaster - very close to where our wedding reception was on a date that we ironically chose to avoid many tourists that would be there to see Thomas the Tank Engine the weekend prior. Oma and Opa came with us and didn't ride any trains as we thought that we would save that for when Thomas comes to town but Ryan was extremely satisfied watching them none-the-less!

We had dinner that night outside at an italian restaurant the Lancaster Airport and Ryan loved watching the planes take-off and land in his new shades!

Decorating Eggs

Ryan kicked off Easter 2010 by (no, we are not teaching our son beer pong yet!) painting eggs for the first time. He did better than I expected and showed a lot of interest. Ryan's friend, Alex, came over to help - his dad played football at Michigan (yes, miracles DO happen!)

Speaking of football, I just had to include this pic of Ryan wearing one of my favorite pieces of his PSU clothing - because after all, since his Mommy and Daddy are both Penn Staters, he would most certainly bleed Blue and White :)

Easter Egg Hunts with both Moms Groups

One hunt in the morning - nap - one hunt in the afternoon. What a difficult life :) It was a great day for hunting and Ryan was happy that his daddy took off work and came to both events!

First trip to the zoo in 2010

Ryan got to do a couple things in one visit this season that he never did all of last season: ride on a pony, horse, and train. I'm sure some people waiting in line thought Ryan was fussy because his Daddy was dragging him on a ride against his will, but it was actually the opposite - he was too impatient to wait his turn, and he just couldn't stand waiting in line to ride the horse when the train was moving in circles right next to him. Ryan *hearts* trains!

We also got to see one of the polar bears in the water which we never saw last year...

Easter Sunday 2010

It feels like yesterday that my angel slept Easter Day away with the cutest little bunny ears ever.... We celebrated Easter and my Mom's birthday today at my parents' house - what a gorgeous day! Ryan hunted eggs with his cousin Lucas and was very distracted by the wheelbarrow in my parents' backyard - surprise, surprise!
